Bret and Maurice Visit LA

I got a phone call from a friend of mine, Matt Laesh from tannen’s magic camp to see if i can still stick a balloon up my nose and pull it out my mouth. I said sure, then he began to tell me about this one act they weren’t able to get, which was a women who stuck a condom up her nose and pulled it out her mouth. I was like ok, but a little unsure where this conversation was going. Soon after he finished telling me about this act he asked me if i could do the trick with a condom. I never tried, but i am always open for a challenge. I told him yes, ill see what i can do, then he asked for me to put a video on youtube and send it his way. As soon as i hung up the phone i flew to my pharmacist. I wanted to make sure i got the right kind of condom that wouldn’t mess up my nasal passage. He recommended Trojan reds, non lubricated. So i picked up a box of 36 and i was on my way back to my house to shot the video. After almost choking several times, i finally got a good take then put it on youtube.

The next day i got a call from the show and they were booking my flight out there…

I got a red eye flight there, got in LA by 9am, and got a ride to the hotel. I had a suite which was very nice. I called my uncle who works about 10 mins away from where i was staying and he took his lunch off and came picked me up to take me for sushi.

We met his Friend from work who is also a rum runner, my uncle is a pirate and belongs to one of the biggest pirate guilds around. So i tried alot of new stuff as you can see. The day before i left for LA i went to my other uncles 40th surprise aniversary party which was held at an asian buffet. I had some Buffet sushi and i believe i got sick from it. So when i got to LA i was already starting to feel it. Not fun! But it was nice to spend some time with my uncle. He had to drop me off back at the hotel so he could get back to work. That night was the premeier of Americas Got Talent. And a huge article ran in the home new tribuine. So i was very excited how things are going . I went down to the bar in the hotel, and spent the night cracking jokes and meeting other acts from the show. We All bonded and just really had a pleasent time. I was tired and had to go to bed to be up by 6 am so i would be ready to be picked up at 7am. I totally didnt even watch Americas got talent. But its ok.

The next morning I ran down stairs as soon as i got dressed and ate some breakfast cause i knew it would be a LONG day. I got picked up and ended up just going in a seprate van with the equipment and talked with the driver all the way there. When we got there, I connected with these 2 really cool guys, Russel and Terry. Their act was a Body Percussion. We started dancing, and i had maurice out and we were just living it up. They then took us to a tent to fill out the forms, and there i met up with one of the girls from america’s got talent. She was so excited to see maurice and i as i was to see her. We spent a few mins catching up and then we were transfered to the stuido. That is where i met up with Mighty Max. And all of the other acts. We sat in a short meeting, going over the contract then we were put in the holding tank. We spent most of the time bonding while each act did a run through. Some of us took naps, I got a massage and ate alot of fruit…. MMMMmmm.. but it was just a time to spend time to get to know each other and network.

Then i got called for makeup and then it was show time.

It was really intense. To walk out and feel the energy of the audience. It was just a very exciting experience over all. But the whole show just flowed from act to act. I laughed and got to share a unique expereince with all my new friends. After the shoot we drove back to the hotel, and i was invited to go out and eat with the contortionist act. She wanted sushi, So i ened up going to keep her company, but i didnt want any more sushi. When i got back i ended up connecting with Isis…

she is a photographer and makeup artist from vegas, who came to support one of the acts. We connected on a core level and just wanted to spend the last night together. i wanted to go out and eat, but it was so late the resturants around were all closed. So we went back to her room, and ordered room service. Her buddy Tanna mister we up there jumping on the bed and dancing to the music while singing… it was rather exciting.

I spent the rest of the night with isis, She has the coolest dog ever… check this out..

She got tired by 12 and needed to get some rest, because she was planning on going apartment hunting in the morning. I let her go to bed, and then went to another hotel party with some of the other acts. I meet up with the lolipop band and terry and russel. We stayed in one apartment until we got to loud and were requested to quiet down. Then i followed terry and russel back to thier room and we continued the party. Story telling and sharing life experience was what it was all about. Terry was so excited to give me his red pimp hat.

I had to get back to my room by 5am, and slept for a few hours, and got up to check out by 10 am. I met Isis down stairs and she told me she had to go rent a car. So i told her i would like to go with her. Later that day i was going to be performing at the magic castle. so i we took a taxi to the airport to rent the car, then took off the panda express for lunch.

Isis needed to go to an internet cafe so she could go online and start her search for apartments.

I did what i could to help her out, all day. I met some charactes in this cafe, all day new people were coming in and out. If you dont have anything to do and just want to meet alot of random people, def check out a internet cafe. But i got a phone call from my friend matt and he was telling me i was about 3 blocks away from the magic castle. It was rather strange that i ended up exactly where i needed to be. I changed into my yellow suit in the bathroom and waited for him to come pick me up.

Matt picked me up and it took longer for him to make a u turn than it did to get to the castle….

We met up with one of the other acts from the gong show who was very funny… we walked in and the first 5 mins we get there i bump into a man who i met in vegas over 10 years ago. When i was in High School i took a week off and went to vegas for this huge seminar. I met this guy Tony there, and was very intriuged by his mindset. He spent a few hours with me in vegas telling me about how he sees the world around him. All the things he told me stuck with me for years. I spent a few years looking for him so i could thank him for spending as much time as he did with me, and mentoring me. When i saw him, his first reaction was, Hey Kid you Grew up! i guess in his mind he saw me as a young ball of energy, and the man who stood infront of him was no longer a raw ball of energy, but a very grounded force of energy that was developed quite a bit. My friend Matt and Nate went to go see some of the shows while i spent the rest of that night picking tony’s mind. We spoke till about 12:30. My friend had to go to bed so she could get up to go to work the next day. She was going to pick me up or i would take a cab or get a ride some how to her, but she was having one of those nights. I being totally nieve to LA thought i could just stay in a Hotel. What was I thinking… I was in for a rude awaking. I left the Castle dragging my luggage with a Bright Yellow suit on. I walked across the street, and EVERY hotel/motel was TOTALLY BOOKED UP! So now im homeless in hollywood, and decided i needed to eat something so i could think a little more clear. I went to Mel’s dinner, and when i got there, i met up with a homeless guy who was sitting out in front.

I decided i would just spend the night sitting next to him and learning more about what happened and how he got out there. It was an experience sitting out there on the street all hours of the night. You see alot of things when you stop and watch. I was getting tired by 4 am and decided maybe its a better idea if i start moving so i dont get stuck. i ended up walking from one set of sunset blvd to the other. I walked it out till i look up and see The Laugh Factory.

I was a little creeped out. I stopped and was listening to my mp3 player and the song that was playing was secret garden.

I went to use my gps to see if there were any other places to stay near by, and there was one bed and breakfast called secret garden, so i walked about another 20 mins till i found it, but they were full too…i ended up walking back toward the laugh factory, and there was this outdoor mall across the way, i found a chair, table and outlet so i could charge my phone…

i was just planning on sitting there for a few mins, but as soon as i sat down i passed out… i woke up to a guy kicking my foot, when i opened my eyes i was like who the hell are you and why are you in my living room. It took me a few mins to get my senses back. He told me ive been there for 30 mins and i cant sleep there. I tried to explain to him that there was no hotels that had any rooms. I finally got my energy back and continued to walk back towards the castle. I got to the street i started from and decided to go a little furter. I stopped at this Hostel. Yikes.

$50 cash, for a place to crash till my friend Gigi came to pick me up… I was really weak, so i decided to just go for it. This was the DIRTIEST place i ever slept in. BLAH!!!!

i fell asleep and was woken up by my phone. Gigi told me she would be there in an hour to pick me up. I got up and ran down to the local florist which was closed so i had to walk another 2 miles the other way till i found this place where i bought some really nice lilys.

They were beautiful. well i walked them back to the hostel and got all my stuff ready and sat out side till Gigi came to pick me up.
It was nice to see a familar face. Gigi pulled up and i jumped in.. It was nice to catch up while we drove back to where she lived. Venice Beach baby! I didnt realize how spread out LA was. I thought everyone was going to be within 10 mins away, Boy was i wrong. Everything is about an hour or more away. So when we got to venice it was so far from where i was in Hollywood. Well guess what. The first thing we did when we got to venice was go to another Sushi place. Crazy i know… well after lunch we went to the boardwalk and walked it for a few mins. It was just so beautiful. She lives about 200 feet from the boardwalk. She lives in one of the coolest buildings in Venice. The people in the building were so friendly and just had thier own unique personality that made it feel like a sitcom. There was never a dull molment.
That night while walking up to Gigi’s place we stopped at one of her friends place which was one floor down. As i walked in she was doing yoga on the floor. They wanted to go to this club then out to dinner. Well they said since is a beach town once you find a parking spot you leave it.. cause its almost near impossible to find another spot… The club was to far to walk so we decided to ride bikes there… I cant even tell you how long it has been since ive been on a bike let alone ride one for a long distance. Just to make it alittle more exciting, they requested maurice comes, so i rode all the way there with maurice on. It was rather exciting to ride down the boardwalk while riding. We get to the first place, and got a seat in the back. As I walked in everyone was looking at us. Mainly cause i had maurice. So i ended up working the room a little, then made it back to where we were seating. It was nice to relax for about 3 mins, then they wanted to show the boss some stuff. So i ended up snorting a condum and then put it on my head and blew it up till it exploded. It was rather funny. After that we went out side by where we locked up the bikes, and there was a small bridge and in the water below there was a raft of people. Maybe 20 people, and somehow they saw me at the gong show, so they requested to see the condom trick. So i did it again for them and they even tipped me.. how sweet. So we went to the next place which turned out to be a asian late night resturant. I ordered something that i never had before, Lamb and curry… which i couldnt eat… i didnt like it at all… But everyone else enjoyed thier dinner… after dinner we drove back to the house. By now im about to pass out cause of all the travel and now exercise, my body just shut down.
The next day was just another beautiful day. I was so lucky, Everyday was another beautiful day, sunlight, no rain… Gigi took me down to the boardwalk and let me walk around by myself. I ended up stopping by this hat store. Now I never really was into hats before, but something inside said to just try them on. I ended up finding 2 really cool hats, and they matched my personality. I also went all the way to the other end of the boardwalk and had one of the most talented artists, Rudy, Do a portrait of me.
It turned out fantastic. I spent the rest of the day upstairs in the apartment. After we ate, one of Gigi’s friend who used to live in the building, but moved to jersey, came back to visit, so we eneded up having a little party at his place… so we stayed up having fun then ended up going to bed to start again…. So this morning we woke up and went out to this cafe. Here is where the magic happened.

We were enjoying lunch and this little kid named Dough Boy came over and asked if we would like to buy some of his beaded braclets.

This child was only about 8 years old and his father makes him go out and sell stuff everyday. He has lost his childhood and was forced to grow up. So he started to show the girls what he had, and i decided to take a few mins and show him some magic. After about 15 mins this kid fell down in the middle of the street laughing. The girls who live in Venice and who have seen him said they never seen him act like a child. And that was really amazzeing how he turned into a kid. After my show, i reached into my pocket and gave him my last $5. I just gave it to him as a gift not to buy anything. He decided on his own to take one of the braclets and gave it to a young lady 2 tables away. He said you are very beautiful and i want you to have this, have a great day! Then he came back to our table. The guy from Jersey who was visiting, Franky, was so moved he reached into his pocket and pulled out $45, and said let me have all the stuff you have there, and spend the rest of the day playing at the beach. Dough boy light up like a fire cracker.

You could see that everyone at this molment has been moved. As Dough boy was walking away the woman he gave the braclet to, gave him $7 which was $2 more than what he would of sold it for if he sold it. So in 10 mins, he sold everything he had and made an extra $30 in the process. It was a very cool molment.

After Lunch we all went back home to get some stuff for the beach. I ran and got some sun screen, BLAH… we went down to the beach to meet up with some more friends. Gigi asked me if i could go up stairs and show them some magic, So i took the keys, and ran upstairs and had grabed some stuff, then came running back. I got back and did about 20 mins and then the group wanted to go to another spot, as we were walking, Gigi asked me to go up and get some more magic, so i was like no problem, she went to look for the keys, and i didnt have them on me, so when she didnt find them, she automatically thought i had them. I thought i locked them in the apartment. So i ran up and attemped to pick the lock, but i didnt have the right tools, Gigi’s neigbor suggested i just go to the landlords place and ask him to unlock it. What a novel idea. So i went to the landlords door, and knocked till he opened up. I explained to him what happened, and said he couldnt help me because he didnt know me. My phone didnt get service in the building so i couldnt even call her, So i had to walk all the way there, and she said that she wasnt to worried about it, but i wanted to get in so i didnt have to stress out about it. So i left my phone with her and took her phone cause she got service in the building, I made my way back to the apartment, got the landlord and put Gigi on the phone and he was able to let me in. I spend 20 mins cleaning up the apartment looking for these keys. I couldnt find them anywhere. So now im really going nuts.. i dont really know what to do. I went into the hall way and met up with some of the other people on her floor and they said i could hang out with them till they got back, but that didnt help me find the keys. I wasnt able to think straight, and i didnt know if i lost them in the apartment or did i loose them at the beach and they are gone… she had her house keys, car keys, and more on this ring. Not good. So i decided to go back to the place she was at, and to my surprise she wasnt there. But while i was there, This whole table yelled BRET AMAZZEING!!!! i usually remember faces, and no one at this table looked familar. So i asked them where they knew me from, and they said they were on the boat from a few nights ago. It was rather funny how that happened. But a cool feeling. So i ran back home and she wasnt there, so i decided i needed to eat something. I wrote a note and took maurice with me and we walked down the boardwalk.. i was in the mood for pizza but the pizza on the boardwalk looked nothing like the pizza i was used to. So i was pulled towards this Drum circle. i didnt have my phone so i couldnt take pics but if you never seen one, there was over 1500 people banging drums while the sun goes down and then the cops came out and tried to break it up…

So i stayed there till the cops broke it up and headed back home. When i got there, Gigi just walked in, so i was happy about that. She didnt eat anything so, i was so hungry, we just ended up ordering a pizza and calzone. MMMMMMMmmmm.. Love it! so we went upstairs to her friend Kristine’s place and watched Boondock Saints. What a great movie. Very entertaining, and makes you think if you never saw it.. You have to check it out when you find time. Life is good, and we went down stairs to pass out.
The next few days i spent walking up and down the boardwalk meeting new and exciting people.

This was Killer and Joe… Killer was the puppy…

This was the tree guy… he has many different looks, but this one was my favorite.

this was one of the acts from the freak show, but he was so alive and full of joy!

But I met one person who has changed my path. Roger G is a Mime/break dancer/entertainer.

I didnt get to see his act, but i got to talk with him. As we were talking this small group of kids come walking over making fun of one of the other street acts. We all started cracking jokes, and before you know it we started to laugh so hard we were bring more people towards us. I felt like i was back in High School again. Just laughing and making jokes. I havent felt that way for soooo long.. Roger was feeling the same way. Roger was ready to go when i got there, but we ended up staying for another 3 hours because we were having fun. Roger taught us all a dance routine. So were all dancing, and then i got this silly idea to yell at anyone who stepped into our box. (the street performers have a small box drawn on the boardwalk, this give them room to perform and a place to stop the crowd) so as people would walk down the boardwalk every now and then someone would walk right through our box… so i made a HUGE deal out of it.. and it was so funny.. the more we did it the funnier it got.. but after we did that for like 20 mins i lost my voice… so we took a walk and walked down the boardwalk as the sun went down we went to the beach…. it was nice to watch the sun go behind the moutains while your on the beach.

Roger and I spoke about working together for the next few days. That night Gigi and I went back to the Magic Castle, to watch Tony perform. So when we got there, I saw one of the other acts from the gong show, which was just to cool and we enjoyed a night out. After the castle we went to a dinner to eat dinner. As i walked in everyone stopped to look at us cause i was dressed in a snakeskin suit and had maurice. These 2 rather attractive young ladies were sitting across from where we were seated. I walked over and sat next to them for a while and learned that it was one of thier birthdays, so i did some magic, but ended up talking with them for a while about life. I felt like I made a difference in thier night and they were rather impressed with our short meeting. I went back to my table and finished eathing…
I got a phone call from my uncle and he was checking up on me. i told him i was still in town i ended up staying an extra week. So he said he was getting out of work early, and wanted to spend the day with me if i wanted. I totally accepted. I really looked up to my uncle most of my life, and still do. He was someone in my family who really ran towards his dreams and made his dream a reality. We always have intense conversations, and i feel very close with him.

When he got to Venice we walked the board walk all the way to the end and back and then stopped to eat lunch. We spent alot of time talking about the law of attraction, we both have seen it work and were just really curious about the whole thing. While we were eating lunch i told my uncle about this healer i met earlier in the week.

When i was walking up the board walk i stopped to talk to his healer. I didnt have any money, but i had 2 banannas. We started to talk, and i gave him one of my bannanas, and we just started to share. I did some magic for him and he was fascinated. He offered to give me a free session. I didnt feel anything, but we talked some more and he suggested i come back and get my chakras aligned. I have never done any chakra work before so i was curious. He said he would do it for half of what he normally charges, so i ran upstairs and grabbed some cash and came back down. We walked into the beach and it was quiet and peaceful. As he moved his hands down to each chakra he said asked me to think of certain colors, and focus on the spot. After an hour, i felt this sensation shooting out of the back of my head. It was about 3 feet taller than me and felt like a tingling. It was intense, i never felt anything like that before. So when i was telling my uncle, i really wanted him to experinece the same thing. So after lunch we walked back towards the healer and introduced him to the healer. Nicky the healer offered my uncle the same deal he gave me, so we walked back to the beach and they did an hour session.

My uncle has been meditating since he was my age, so he was pretty aligned but he still felt like he learned something and it just opened him to a new experience. After his session we went back to Gigi’s place and watched some youtube clips while Gigi got ready. They wanted to go for sushi again.. my favorite… =p

We drove to the sushi place and there was a wait even though we made a reservation. So while we were waiting i started to talk to some of the other people waiting. These people turned out to be from london and they were just visiting. I made them laugh and enjoy thier wait. Gigi talked to the owner to see if they could get them a table sooner cause they had a small child. She really went out of her way to help them. She is just so sweet. We finally got our table and shortly after i sat down the bus boy spilled a tray of water down my back… so i spent the first part of the night in the bathroom under a blower machine trying to dry off. i wasnt mad just a little wet.. So we enjoyed another meal together, and as the bus boy was cleaning the other table he spilled more water on me. I have no idea how that happened. Nothing like that has ever happened before, but it was rather funny. My uncle asked to see the cheif and requested they made him this thing called french toast.

The owner came out and said she really liked it and wanted to add it to the menu and named it after my uncle.. It was pretty funny. We went back to Gigi’s place and my uncle had to drive 2 hours home. So we said our goodbyes, and Gigi and I went upstairs and ended up at another party. So we danced and enjoyed the rest of the night.
Today was rather different from the most, I was standing outside of a small shop and a homeless man walked over and gave me a dollar. I didnt ask any questions, i just accepted it. But it totally blew my mind. Today was the 4th of July. After the homeless guy gave me the dollar i met up with Roger and we were gonna work the boardwalk. It was so packed there were no more spaces left. So we shared one space for a while, then one opened up. So we jumped onto that one, and did our thing for a few hours, then some guy walks over to me telling me we are in his spot. He comes over with 2 aliens sitting in a chair and puts them where we were performing.

I was like are you kidding. It was the most rediculous thing i ever saw. But instead of getting upset, we went on our way, and found a new place to do our thing. by 6 we decided to head out and start tomorrow early. I met up with Gigi and friends and we went to this house party. What a beautiful place. I really enjoyed myself there. Ate some really good food and share some laughs with some really cool people, after we ate, we took a cab back to the apartments and went on the roof to watch the fireworks…

then partied the night away downstairs. The next day i was up early and down the boardwalk by 10am. Met up with roger, and we did our thing. We really did some great sets, and people thought we were working together for years. So that was alot of fun. We grew together, and really enjoyed each others presents.
Now its Sunday and Gigi invited me to go with her to agape. I heard about agape from the secret. On the way to Agape we saw these kids on every street corner spinning signs. If you havent seen it, check out this clip.

I had so much fun and felt so welcomed. Its been over 14 years since ive been in any kind of church. This was just a blessing. I started to sing and dance with the group. More than 2000 people attended. After the service, i got to meet up with Micheal Beckwith who ran the program and his wife. But after that i met with his mother, Who is one of the most inspirational people i met on this trip.

She is in her 90s and is just putting out an albulm and just finished her book and is being published as we speak. I was with her for over an hour making jokes and enjoying every min. After we said our goodbyes, I worked the rest of the day with Roger, and we had another fantastic day. It was getting late, so i was gonna go eat and invited him to come along. He had one stop he had to make but after that his wife wanted him to stay in. But we had a great day together, and when i got back Gigi made lambchops, fresh mashed potatoes, and brochli and some other stuff.. MMMMmmmm…

it was SO good! but her neigbors joined us for my last meal in Venice and it turned out to be a spectacular night. We went to sleep early cause i had to catch my plane at 5 am. I took a cab to the airport, and when i got there, to my surprise was a 45 min wait in line..

I was like are you kidding. Well i waited in line and when i got to the front they said it was for a different airline. i was shaking my head in disbelief. I went over to the counter where my airline was, and they took care of me right away. When i finally got on the plane i sat next to a nice young lady who we shared a nice conversation with. I was starving, and needed to eat, she was also hungry, but had no cash on her. so i bought her what ever she wanted. She really didnt want to accept it but i pushed till she did. We talked for another hour and then i needed to get some rest. When i woke up we were landing. I made my way to the lobby and she found me and wanted to buy me lunch… i was like sure, and we ate while we shared some more stories. But it was rather nice of her to go out of her way to thank me. Life is good!

I had to share this with you!

Charles Schultz Philosophy

[]

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip. You don’t have to actually answer the questions.. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you’ll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.

[]

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .

[]

Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with .

[]

Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care .

[]

Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.

76ers vs The Bucks - yet another Philly Adventure

dancers from 76ers and Bret Amazzeing and Maurice

I got the opportunity to meet someone very special a few months ago at a children specialized gala event. He was the BEST dressed man in the room, that was until i walked in and stole the spot light. In a matter of a few mins, there was a hit out for me… but i walked right up to him, and i admired his scarf. It takes a certain type of person to pull of the scarf look, and he was one of those people. A real down to earth guy. Full of life and energy. His smile fills the room with joy. He really makes you feel so welcome, and really makes you feel part of the group. We spoke for a few mins, and i was pulled away. Later that night, i got to talk with him some more. We bumped into each other once more on the dance floor. It was a few months later, when i met him at a chambers event the day before i left for New Orleans. When I heard he was in the room, I stopped what i was doing, and made it over to his table. He jumped to his feet to greet me. I was honored. What a gentleman… we sat and talked for a few hours, then went to the cocktail lounge for a few more hours. We exchanged stories, and by the end of the night he invited me to the game.

Which brings us to tonight. WOW! I asked Don if i could bring my mother. He was amazed that i even thought of her. You only have one mom, and your family comes first. well when we walked into the box seats, Don and friends were there to welcome us. Don was pushing the food. But the food was Excellent. I really enjoyed it. The company was better than the game. We talked for hours, and right after the half time the dancers came into our box and we got to take a few pics.

All i can say is Thanks Don, for making my night. My mom can’t thank you enough. I look forward to seeing you and your friends very soon.

Don and Bret Amazzeing and Maurice... YOU!!!!

The Liberty bell - The Adventures of Bret Amazzeing and Maurice continue….

Bret amazzeing and maurice and the liberty bell

Bret Amazzeing and Maurice got to go explore the historic section of Philadelphia. We enjoyed walking down the street and interacting with the people of Philly. We were walking down the street and a bunch of security dressed like park rangers got so excited when they saw maurice they litterally dragged us into the building where there were about 7 other park rangers. We did a short show for them, and made their day. It was exciting to see what a difference we made for them. While walking to see the liberty bell, one of the park rangers told us to spit out our gum…. does she know who we are… i was like um.. GONE! look.. as i opened my mouth… Security. i tell you.. but we enjoyed seeing a part of history. We even stayed around to learn the history of the bell and how it played a huge part on America.

Seka also enjoyed Christmas with her little buddy. Maurice opened presents and everything. He even helped make dinner.

Thanks Seka for the pics… Keep up posted on how little maurice is doing. I hope he is staying out of trouble…

Spending the day with my new friends for the birthday party of the year!

I was invited to spend the day with my new friends. We started out at the dinner, then went to the arcade to play laser tag. Because i was the oldest there, i totally dominated everyone else and got the 2nd highest score of all time!

img_5276.JPG

We then went out to see a movie… the kids picked the chipmunk movie… which was alot of fun.. we enjoyed going to the hibachi grill after that. Maurice and the birthday boy caught the food in their mouth when the chef threw it in… we had a great time, and i just want to thank you guys for including me in the fun.

Taking a Break to New Orleans

i was invited to a big fashion show in New Orleans, by a very close friend of mine. The timing was Great! I went home right after she invited me and booked my flight! I was ready to have a blast… i needed to just get away for a few days and relax my mind and have fun. Maurice was so excited he packed his bags up.

Our first flight was on time and no problems. The connecting flight on the other hand was a 4 hour delay. Not to much fun for a normal person.. but we made the best of it! The ladies checking the flights in fell in love with Maurice. He flirted with them to get us an upgrade. VERY NICE! We sat in the first row. You can’t beat that with a hockey stick. Maurice was a huge hit with all the kids who were a little scared of flying for the first time. They ran over and gave him a hug. It was a very nice sight to see.

I finally got in to the New Orleans airport. My friend was coming to pick me up… When i saw her she made me smile. i grabbed my bags threw it into the Escalade and on we go for the most exciting trip ever! When we pulled up to her beautiful home, the kids were there to greet us. The older opened the door and grabbed my bags and brought them upstairs.. He was so excited to finally meet me. He is such a good kid. The younger one was just as excited. They ran up the stairs to clean their room. Romeo the cute little puppy dog ran around the house..

I changed out the yellow suit into the snake skin so we could start our first event. It was a meet and greet for the models from the fashion show. We get their just as it started. Wow there were just so many beautiful women there. We enjoyed talking to them all and there was one who stood out a little more than others. But we will tell you more about her later…

Shannon, Bret and Maurice

After the Show, we went back to her house to eat dinner. I made some bowtie noodles with Alfredo sauce.. mmmmmm.. it was sooo good! It was an early night. After eating we needed to get our rest because it was going to be an action packed weekend. The Next day we picked up a new friend at the airport, who turned out to be one of the coolest guys ever. And then we hit up this VIP party. Met some of the stars in the vip room, danced a little, then split before we got to comfortable.

So that was Night 2. Day 3 was the Fashion show… i couldn’t wait to see what would happen. I was so excited. We Get there and the first girl i see is the girl from the meet and greet. Her name was shannon, and she was by far one of the coolest people i have ever met in my whole life. She has so much personality, energy and she has an awesome attitude about life. I totally clicked with her that night. We danced a little, and i knew right there, that there was something very special about her.

img_5027.JPG

We talked while she got her hair done up… We laughed and just really enjoyed each others company. After she was all ready, i left to go sit at a table so i could have a great seat for the show. I got right in the front at the first table by the stage.. how lucky is that! We had the time of our life. Maurice just watched in awe as the girls walked by one at a time. Each girl had their own strength.

After the show we went to eat. I had some creapes with strawberries and whipped cream.. yummy! I had a great time so far.. but the adventure was still getting better. The next morning we went to the strip to do a grand opening for a new cheesesteak place. Mr. Chubby’s was the place to be to see some beautiful waitresses walking outside. We went to eat lunch at one of the best places in New Orleans, and WOW what a meal. It was just sooooo tasty. The food in New Orleans is just fantastic!

img_5205.JPG This was my take home container. How cool is that!

After lunch we made our way over to the Fat Catz where Maurice and I danced outside while the girls were walking by. My Favorite was doing the Cupid shuffle in the middle of the street. CLASSIC!

My flight was leaving at 6 so i had to run, i took a cab to the airport to find out after going through the whole security thing and everything, that my flight was canceled. Sad Puppy dog eyes,Right? NO! Wrong.. i was so excited i got to spend one more night in New Orleans. I called my friends up, we went out to dinner than went to the lil wayne after party. We got home, i fell alseep cause i had to be at the airport by 6am.. not fun when your not a morning person. I got all my stuff ready.. took another cab to the airport and got to go home smooth sailing. When i got home I had a show at the Laugh Factory in NYC xmas eve day. I did a show for all the underprivileged familes of nyc. That Show was one of the best performances i have ever done. Everyone Loved it, and i really had a great time.

what are your goals ????

short term goals
because my father pasted away a week after the learning annex expo in nyc, he left me with a lot of responsibilities. I spent the last 2 years building a 1500 sq foot house for my grandma who is 83 to move in and live with us. So i spent many hours, days, and months learning how to build, dig, Spackle, paint, put up molding, electric, plumbing, ect…. my mom is bi polar so we spent the last few years keeping an eye on her as well… my dad, mom and myself have spent the last 7 years of our lives together full time 24/7. I am blessed to have been able to spend as much time as i did, and learn all the wonderful things he had to teach me. most people dont get to spend more than 2 hours a day, with their loved ones. my mom and dad were a very big part of my life. since the funeral, my grandma wants to move back to Maryland with her other son and the rest of her family. so my first goal is to help her move her and her 900 sq feet of stuff out of the house. im am looking to go through all the clutter in my life.. sort it, then decided to throw out, sell or just give all the unwanted things so i can have a clear mind and house.. by the new year, i want to be able to rent the 2 bedroom suite out to a professor or college student because i live right by Rutgers. that will help with the monthly expenses. My father had alot of investments, but he didnt have his will signed or witnessed or notarized. so we are going through the process of moving funds, changing documents, ect.
my number one priority is to be able to provide for my mom, and give her the lifestyle she deserves. she doesnt need anyone else. she has me! but right now we are focused on getting this house cleaned and fixed up… my grandparents from FL drove down and are helping us with that process.. i want to see this place looking clean by the first or second week of next month. i just finished my other goal today, which was finish redesigning the layout and functionality of my website wesharesmiles.com
that will help my organization to get a residual income so i can make the donations even when i sleep.
next i got a phone call from Branscombe Richmond from mauitoday.com he wants me to redo all my videos with the celebrities and introduce them for his site so i can get the exposure on his site. that would help me bring more people to my site so i am interested to get that done when i get back from New Orleans the day after xmas. I am going to a fashion show and a few other events wed and im excited for that, so i want to meet more people, and spend a few days with my friends living it up!

those are more for me, now the good stuff…
i am putting together a 5 year tour that i will get a tour bus and travel the usa to entertain all the kids in the orphanages, domestic violence centers, and hospitals. i will put a magical comedy show with a bit of puppetry on for these children and after the show we will give them little maurice puppets. i already manufactured 3600 little maurice puppets in china. i want to learn the process to get corporate sponsors, and grants. i want to be able to give the first 3600 away in the first 3 months and while i am giving them away make my next order for 50,000 puppets. i want to meet the right people to get maurice in all the stores, and make him a house hold name. im working on a few tv deals so i can put that together to get the exposer i need to launch this nationally. I would like to tour the us for 6 months of the year and when it gets cold here travel to warmer places in this world and share smiles with those kids there. i want to live the life i love and love the life i live.

the real estate expo caught my fathers eye and he really really wanted me to go. 2am he was watching tv and he called me down to show me the commercial. before the commercial was finished i was already signing up. VIP STYLE BABY!!! it has already changed my life for the better… i met alot of very cool people. i won the iphone from the one minute u video.. but that wasnt the cool part… after the first night… i was walking down the street and a homeless guy told me he was hungry so i said cool, where we going for dinner, and i bought him and his friend dinner. it was a good feeling, but later that night i was taking another friend out to dinner, and as we were walking down the street a little autistic boy who saw me at the expo wanted to meet maurice. so in the middle of the cross walk, we were laughing and having fun…. while the cars were honking thier horns, i continued to make this kid carry on… i gave him a bracelet and on he went…. shortly after, an older man came over to me with a smile and said i really like what your doing kid.. and handed me a $100 bill…. that was a very cool feeling.. but it happens to me alot. that happened to me 2 times that week. i gave a homeless man a meal and someone gave me a $100 bill… so when my father passed the first thing we did was take some of his old jackets to nyc and give them to the homeless so they can keep warm… that first $100 bill i received i wanted to give to trump. i did everything he said to do, stand out, (i was wearing a snake skin suit cant stand out more that that, plus i had a lion puppet on with a $100 bill in his hand) my question was i wanted to give him the money and ask him what charity would he give it to… but shortly after i was on line.. one of the security guys pulled my arm down, and told me to sit down… i looked at him with as much passion i had and said.. “so let me get this straight, you have an expo telling people to stand out, not to let people shit on you, do what you can to make a difference, and then in the next sentence you say sit down….” that really bothered me… so i wouldn’t sit down.. i told him if you take me out of here, your gonna bring more attention to me.. he looked at me, and walked away… i had some of the other staff doing what they could to increase my chances of getting to ask a question.. but this one guy really totally changed my energy.. at that moment, it went from a great feeling to a very determined, but more in a negative energy… i turned into a ball of fire… now i remember staring into trumps eyes, and i know he is thinking who is this guy in this crazy suit with the puppet… i was NEXT ON LINE.. they were really trying to close the questions, but i was next… at that moment… one of my new friends came pushing her way through the crowd.. and told me to stop, sit down.. they were fighting on the mics, and this wasnt the place.. i worked so hard this weekend.. this would throw it all away… so because it was her.. i said fine.. i put maurice on my shoulder and walked to my seat and sat down… the moment i started to move, they totally closed the questions and ended the expo… i was feeling a mixture of feelings…. not sleeping the whole weekend, and only eating one meal… i was really not myself… and all the emotion broke me down and i started to cry… i was thankful i didnt ask the question, because she made a good point.. this wasnt the place for it.. so my next goal is to get a way to send trump a check for $100 and tell him this story so he understands what i was doing.. i might be a little crazy, but for the right reasons… i look around and watch what everyone else is doing then do the opposite.. i get results because im out side that box….

My long term goals….
at the age of 18 the children in the orphanages, get kicked out of the home they just got used to being in….. i want to create a program world wide to help these kids out… i want to use the real estate knowledge i learn from the annex, to buy the right properties and get these kid a place to live and train them to be someone and do something with their life.. and really be a mentor to them…
my dream is to be able to have several locations throughout the world, and spend a few months in each location with my family and friends… while sharing smiles along the way… i dont work because i have to.. i do it because i love it.. i dont work, i get paid to play… my life is sculpted to be how i designed it to be. and im looking forward to doing all the things i can dream up so when i die, people cant say that i didnt get my moneys worth… i LIVED MY LIFE!!!! weather it will be a short life or a long one, i got everything i could out of it… and enjoyed the journey!!!!

why i will not give up…
i am a white male, 25 years of age, single, no kids, no strings holding me down, in north America doing everything i love to do! who would want to give that up? you only get to live once, i want to make it count! you cant take life to serious cause your not going to get out a live! so im going to use the talents i was blessed with and share them with the right people, and continue to do so till the day i die… and all these accomplishments will be tribute to my father who i take with me in my heart…

also i spent the last 25 years of my life building and sculpting it to be what i want. i meet hundreds of people a month, and enjoy every min. i also spent the last year with a female who i cared alot for, and things didn’t work out, i decided it was time to let her go, and she waited a few weeks and then told me, “one day you will grow up and take care of what’s yours, im having it!” so i guess that was her way of telling me she was pregnant… my parents already didnt like her…. they told me that the choice was always mine, but they really didnt support my decision to be with her…. on sept 11 i decided i would do everything in my power to do what i can to make a commitment to this girl…. it was almost like something out of the notebook… we had a very close connection… i could tell her what she was thinking before she thought it.. we were always communicating with each other even though we both travel alot…she was always on my mind… so when she told me she was pregnant, my father and i werent really talking at the time.. and i told him… you have to trust me.. im done with her, and i mean it… i dont want a piece of ass to get between me and you… so i continued to tell him what she told me… he gave me a hug.. and there was a tear in my eye.. my mom came outside when we were sitting back down.. and wanted to know what was going on.. i told my mom and she almost had a heart attack… she was like OMG OMG OMG.. i hope she isnt pregnant… well.. over the next few months… i didnt really communicate with her at all.. i totally made my mind up to remove myself from it, and rebuild my life so i can feel good about me.. without doing that i will not be able to have a relationship with anyone… a few weeks ago.. i asked her why is she telling me things that arent true… she was like huh? i said why did you tell me you were pregnant.. she was like but i was pregnant.. i went to school.. they told me that was is a past tense verb meaning no longer are… so basically she confirmed to me that she wasnt pregnant, and i can finally finish the process of removing the last little bit so i can finish rebuilding..

i learned from all my past mistakes, and i will not make them ever again, its time to move forward and make better choices and meet new people so i can be the best in all the areas of my life!

oh some other ideas and goals that just popped into my head…
while i was at the annex expo i learned that george foreman wrote a book about smiles, i want to connect with him and see how we can cross market each other. i met marie diamond and got to speak to her about my program and she had some ideas that she thinks she can help me get with the learning channel, when i gave her a little maurice, her only reaction was Oh my god, i get to keep this… she was overwhelmed. while i was there i also gave one to tony robbins, i handed it to the security and he told me the next day that tony grabbed it out of his hand and said i want that! and when he brought some stuff to his car it was on the front seat, so that was cool. but before i gave one to him, i gave one to his brother in law. but i didnt realize he had 2 children so i gave him another one so each kid had one, and he gave me a dvd box set… so that was really cool… so i would really like to be able to do some work with tony and his group soon. i understand he does alot of work to feed people during the holidays, for the past 5 years i have been entertaining all the underprivileged families of NYC at the laugh factory, and we feed over 1000 hot meals each thanksgiving and xmas. so i want to do what tony did and grow that number each year so i can make a difference in so many more people’s life.

I am very blessed and excited

Happy New Year!!!

Maurice Happy new year

Happy New Year!

What a great Time! Maurice and I went out to celebrate with a few friends. I was in such a hurry, I totally forgot Maurice’s Stick to control his arm. I was changing his cloths and getting him ready for the big night, and totally forgot to put the stick back on. So we jumped into my car and took off to go meet some friends. We got to the club a little early, and because I had Maurice we didn’t have to wait in any of those silly lines. We walked right up to the front of the lines, and they asked for our ids… Maurice looked at me, and I smiled, as I took out 2 ids and handed them to the main bouncer.. The guy looks at them, then looks at me. At first they said you cant bring your kid into the club, but after looking at the ids, it got very quiet. Then all of a sudden he starts yelling TONY TONY COME HERE!!! LOOK THE DUMMY GOT AN ID!!! The whole line just starts laughing, and the bouncers had to show the ids to everyone. It took about 20 mins to get them back but we were in like flint. We walked in and I went up to the coat check lady, and asked a very strange question.  DO YOU HAVE ANY WIRE COAT HANGERS? She paused, looked at me, then looked at Maurice, then started to laugh. I am pretty sure she doesn’t hear that question to often. She looked in the back and came back with one. I said thank you and went off to the bathroom where you can actually see what you are doing. It is just to dark to do anything in the main room.

Well I fixed the hanger to work for a replacement stick. So now we were ready to have fun! In a matter of seconds, there was a group of people around us, wanting to see what Maurice was all about. Taking pictures was just the beginning of it. All the girls wanted to dance with us. It was so much fun. I bumped into a lot of old friends that night as well as made many new ones. But it was a night to remember.

The music stopped and the big screens all had the time square shot on. We all counted as the ball got closer and closer. Maurice had a little party horn in his mouth and as it turned 12, the place went nuts… confetti everywhere… balloons… music…. People screaming.. it was great!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Ymca Performance

Today we performed for the children in the YMCA in Plainfield. I had a great time. The Media came and video taped our performance. The mayor and cheif of police even made an apperence. To see the kids get so excited when maurice was dancing was the best. Alot of the kids had so many good questions. It was almost hard to believe they were coming from such young children.

But we had a blast as usual.
